Estaré en la puerta de la estación de tren de Retiro con un cartel de "GuruWalk" en mis manos.
This is the beginning of our journey. We meet at the gates of Retiro - Mitre train station to take the Mitre train for 50 minutes to Tigre station. (SUBE card is needed. Price of the ticket: Ars$ 37)
At the Fluvial station we bought the tickets for the "Lancha colectiva" (boat bus) from the company Interisleña (ticket price Ar$2200 round trip). The boat takes us on a 50 minute trip crossing wonderful jungle islands to the public dock at the confluence of the Capitán River and the Rama Negra stream.
A hike of more than two hours awaits us at the Rama Negra stream. There we will have direct contact with the native flora and fauna, as well as with the majestic gardens of the local country houses, whose unique architectural designs, prepared to resist the tide of the estuary, are worth photographing. We will also pass by points of interest, such as the German inn and restaurant AlpenHauss, the "Puente de los enamorados" (Bridge of Lovers).
Viva el Delta is a local pizzeria and grill where we can enjoy delicious typical dishes from the islands, as well as pizzas made in its incredible clay oven and dishes with the famous Argentine meat. This point of the itinerary is subject to reservations and the capacity of the restaurant.
Turning along the minor branch of the Rama negra stream, and crossing banks of dense vegetation, we will arrive at the gates of the "Monte Blanco" Ecological Reserve, which still awaits its new inauguration, but which offers us a beautiful dock as a resting point to sit for a moment to contemplate the peace of the stream and have a snack.
As we arrive at the confluence of the Rama Negra Stream and the Espera Stream, we will pass through an imposing bamboo forest, also through a peaceful cypress forest. Then we will cross an old bridge that can be somewhat scary for novices to reach the edge of a beautiful park designed by Carlos Thays, who also designed the Botanical Garden and 9 de Julio Avenue in the City of Buenos Aires.
Los free tours no tienen un precio establecido, en su lugar, cada persona entrega al guru al finalizar el importe que considere oportuno (suelen ser cantidades comprendidas entre los 10€ hasta los 50$ en función de la satisfacción con el tour).
