Uganda faces significant challenges with unemployment and gender inequality, leading to widespread social issues. By joining the GuruWalk platform, we aim to create equal opportunities for both male and female employees, combating discrimination and helping to protect girls from the necessity of trading their safety for survival. Many young Ugandans struggle to pay their bills, resulting in early pregnancies and marriages.

The Walk with Doris through the religious sites as the national mosque including the best view all over kampala from the minaret was great. After that we went directly into the crowded market and tried not to get lost. It was absolutly impressiv to see all the stuff you can find there. We also tried some deliciouse ugandian food as kabalagala. Later we had interesting talks about culture, rituals and living in uganda. Many thanks Doris it was a great tour with you and we would definitly recommend the tour. Tabita and Malaika
We had a nice walk with Sarah in the oldtown of Kampala. She was very nice and flexible to take extra stops for us, and had a nice coffee. It was very informative, we got a lot of interesting thoughts about life in Kampala and Uganda. We felt very safe during the trip! Thank you a lot again, Sarah!
I had an incredible walking tour in Kampala with a fantastic woman guide. Despite it being a solo tour, she made the experience engaging and insightful. Her deep knowledge of the city’s history, culture, and landmarks was impressive, and she shared it with passion. She ensured my safety throughout, and I felt comfortable the entire time. The tour being tip-based was a unique touch, and it was definitely worth it. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting an authentic and memorable experience in Kampala!
The tour is advertised as free walking tour , so naturally everyone pays an adequate contribution afterwards. However, the tour policy is to pay min. $30, which they tell you via WhatsApp after booking, which I find a bit impertinent. Since I had only $20 with me, I was pushed to go to the ATM to get more cash. Therefore, I ended the tour after the mosque. What I learned in the mosque was interesting, however, the tour guide seemed unmotivated and constantly chatting on the phone.
Thank you Sarah for a fun and informative tour! :)
