I offer general tours of the city in Portuguese and English. I also offer more specific and in-depth tours of the New and Old Cathedrals and the University of Coimbra.
Jose was a great guide with attention to the details in taking care of our group. Little things like pointing out public restrooms or tips on which ATMs to use or not use. And the tour and information shared about Coimbra was fantastic
If you want to see the best of Coimbra and you have a short amount of time for your visit, I highly recommend taking the 2,5 hour walking tour with José, as he takes you to the best spots of the city and his commentary is both entertaining and enriching, as he knows a lot about the history and the city. I would go again if I ever come back. 10/10!
After taking numerous guided tours, I thought that I can’t be surprised, but this one stands out. Jose’s route is perfectly chosen to cover the most important sites, and the information he provided are focused on the most important facts
