Hi, I am originally from Wellington - a city which is wonderfully hilly and really really windy. Nelson is wonderfully hilly but not so windy so that´s why I live here; you can get vertical but not get blown around too much : ). I am 64 so if you want to go up a hill with me then it will be at a gentle pace. There are many hilly options around Nelson (and some mountainous ones too!) for great views and local companionship. One walk I do ends up at the beach, another ends up downtown - there are cafes!
David was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable about the local area, and New Zealand generally, and very funny as well. We didn't feel rushed and the pace was perfect to an amazing view over the whole bay and nearby mountains, very beautiful.
