Why is this tour going to be unique? Firstly, you will be guided by a local tour guide whose hobby is the study history and continual acquisition of general knowledge with lots of experience guiding countless tourists. I will briefly explain any or all periods including: Neanderthal, Neolithic, Phoenician, Greeks ‘Pillars of Hercules’, Romans (which gave Gibraltar it’s famous ‘Mons Calpe’ title), Islamic invasion by Ibn Tariq & medieval moorish period, the Spanish ‘Reconquista’ period, and British history regarding its possession of the Rock.

Explore Gibraltar’s current events, Llanito language, our Maltese, Genoese, English, Irish, Portuguese, Andalusian, Indian, and Moroccan cultures. Gibraltar boasts five coexisting religions, reflected in its culture, architecture, and gastronomy all commingling and making it one of the most unique places in the Mediterranean that only a local guide can unlock for the enthusiastic tourist.
It was very informative & Jayden really has a passion for the history of Gibraltar, which came across very well. The two hours were not longer enough to take in the history and sights around. We are glad we did this tour as there was history you wouldn't pick up from a tour like this. I would recommend this tour as there is so much see and understand from the local area / main town.
I absolutely loved this tour . Jaydan clearly loves Gibraltar and is very proud and knowledgeable about his hometown/ city and its history. We were supposed to do this tour earlier in the week and ended up moving it to a later date due to entry into Gibraltar from Spain. The group was meant to be bigger and I'm sorry that the others who cancelled missed out as Jaydan was possibly one of the best walking tour guides I have met. The tour is mostly flat but there are a few small stairs to get up and down in the centre of Gibraltar. The tour takes place mostly in the historical heart of the 'town'. I would definitely recommend this tour as there is so much more to Gibraltar than visiting the monkeys 🐒 and well.. the world wouldn't be what it is now without Gibraltar!
