He went out of his way to come and get us this morning as we were late and lost. He was extremely knowledgeable and took us around where we wanted to go. Where I was scared of the people trying to rip us off he looked after us.
We had an amazing walking tour through Casablanca with Serrar as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history, culture, and hidden gems. Serrar’s passion for Casablanca was evident throughout the tour, and he made sure we got a deep understanding of both the modern and historical aspects of the city. His friendly and engaging style made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for an insightful and enriching tour of Casablanca, we highly recommend Serrar!
Our tour with Serrar was amazing. As we were only two people in the group it was a really personal atmosphere and felt more like visiting the city with a local friend. Serrar gave us some options what to visit, so we could create a plan for the route together. All in all we spent the whole day together and really got a feeling of the culture of Casablanca. Serrar seems to be very knowledgeable and a huge fan of his home town :)
The tour was at a lovely relaxed pace. Serrar was professional and took us to what felt like his local hangouts. Buying fruit, oysters, bread and sugar cane drinks along the way. He smoothed our entry into the mosque carefully timing it so we could explore and take photos. He knew all the great photos places and angles. Note to fellow travellers, withdrawing cash in Casablanca can be problematic so come with local currency and negotiate the duration of your walk and what you would like to see. We found Serrar very good at answering questions so the more curious you are the more you will learn.
I confirmed and arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting place - near excelsior hotel. I waited for 30 minutes. I sent a message to the guide and no response. It was a waste of my time. Very unprofessional. Is there a uniform or something to identify them as a staff of guruwalk? It was challenging to be guessing who the guide could be and the profile pics are tiny so it is not helpful.
