I´m a Dutch guy who arrived to Palma in 1994 and since then the city stole my heart! I have studied Tourism at the University of the Balearic Islands and I have got the official accreditation of the local government to be tourist guide in Spanish, English, German and Dutch. My purpose is to reveal some unknown details of the history of Palma and show you interesting spots, buildings, architecture and even ancient stories related to the history of Palma. I will also highlight aspects of the Majorcan culture and dates of interests related to gastronomy, transport and other interesting spots on the island
Together we will conquer Palma again following the same trace of king James I when he entered in the city on 31 December 1229. Starting at the Plaza España, we will cross the city in order to show you the remains of the Roman and Arab culture, but especially the Christian settlements. We will walk through the narrow streets which in the past belonged to the Jewish Quarter and we will finish this tour in front of the majestic cathedral
At the Plaza España, in front of the statue of James I, I wear an orange shirt (Holland)
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
