As a fifth-generation Skopyan, feel very passionate about my City and would like to present it to the foreign visitors, in the best way possible. I possess extensive and in-depth knowledge about the culture, tradition and the history of Skopje, its places, people, buildings etc., which want to share with our guests and leave a good impression in order to give them a reason to come back again. Have traveled quite a bit and the idea for this Activity came during my stay in Santiago de Chile where I worked and lived.
Born and raised in Skopje, want to present my city in best of lights and an entertaining manner. I'm not Your average Tour Guide, no sugarcoating with me because "Honesty is the best policy".
We start at Central Square, stroll down Macedonia street to the old railway station where the earthquake museum is. Then, we cross the Vardar river and visit places in the Old Bazaar and climb mildly to the Fortress for a beautiful Vista of the City.
Rendezvous point is at the entrance of the Ristich Palace, nextdoor to Bocata Cafe, just 20 meters from the Alexander the Great Fountain at the Central Square. To identify me, I'll be wearing a blue ID card issued by the Macedonian Tour Guides Association.
This is where the Tour starts.
We'll visit the original location of Mother Teresa house
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
