I am a local certified official Canary Islands tour guide. I am a experienced hiker who knows every curious and hidden corner of the island. Furthermore, I love reading books about the the Canary Islands, that's why I have such a wide knowledge of the nature and history of this peculiar archipelago.
Immerse yourself in the history, architecture and ethnography of the capital Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Canary Islands with information ranging from the indigenous Canarian era, the conquest of the Canary Islands, pirate attacks, the emigration of Canarians to America to the time when bananas and tomatoes were star export products. An introduction will be made at the beginning about certain Canarian traditions inherited from the indigenous Berber population of the islands.
Information will also be provided about two illustrious figures linked to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, such as Cairasco de Figueroa and Benito Pérez Galdós , as well as mentioning many others. Furthermore, we will focus on architectural monuments in the historic centre and their architectural styles (traditional Canarian architecture with a Mudejar stylistic base, neoclassicism, modernism, regionalism, etc.).

I will be at 10 Herrería Street, near the entrance to the Guiniguada Theatre (not to be confused with the Pérez Galdós Theatre). I will be wearing a navy blue backpack, a cap and my tour guide card hanging around my neck and in plain sight.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
