Hello, dear walkers! Zagreb is my hometown, which I never leave, except when I travel somewhere like you do :) So, I am a true local guide. In 2009 I became a licensed tourist guide for Zagreb city and Zagreb County. Since then, I have been conveying my love for Zagreb to people from all over the world, presenting the city through interesting stories and facts, with fun, but in a professional way. As a big fan of travel, I got a chance to visit many countries on almost all continents, but every time upon return to my city, I fall in love with it again.
Immerse yourself in the history, culture, and everyday life of Croatia's capital.
See the most important sights of two historical parts of Zagreb - Upper and Lower Town. We'll walk some off-the-beaten path and you'll hear things you can't read about in the guidebooks or on the internet.
Lower town:
King Tomislav Square - the start of the tour
J.J. Strossmayer Square
Zrinjevac Square
Ban Jelacic Square
Upper town:
Zagreb Cathedral
Tkalciceva Street
Priest’s Tower
Stone Gate
St. Mark's Square
Lotrscak Tower
Funicular
Back to Lower town:
Ilica Street
Flower Square
Oktogon passageway
The tour ends close to the main Zagreb square - Ban Jelacic Square
Let's walk, talk, and have fun together :-)
Marina, your Zagreb guru guide
Trg kralja Tomislava 7, Zagreb (King Tomislav Square No 7) - east side of the square, on the corner with Šenoina street No 1 (in front of the entrance to Asia Thai restaurant) - you can recognize me by two red bags (one small and one a bit larger, canavas made :) and the tour guide badge.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
