With a background in managing 5-star restaurants and bars, I've interacted with people worldwide and realized their curiosity about Montenegro. Combined with my passion for biking, kayaking and hiking, it has driven me to transition into tour guiding. So now I'm licensed tour guide and - for the beginning - I would like to show you the best of my hometown. Welcome to Podgorica !
**NOT AVAILABLE IN JULY & AUGUST**
Discovering Podgorica can be interesting!
😎
We'll cruise through the city by bike!
🚲 🏙️
Actually, by E-BIKES!
Please don't be afraid of it 🙂
... if you know how to ride a regular 🚲 🙂
And yes, that would cost you a bit - but still not much - just 10€ per bike.
( Because I don't own the bikes ! )
During our ride, I'll share with you the history of Podgorica and I'll also take you to places that are not so touristy.
You will see one of the oldest preserved and still active Christian places of worship in Montenegro !
We'll visit the ruins of Doclea ( 1st century AD ) and in order to do that we'll have a little off-road adventure ! 🚴
Once we're back in town we'll visit numerous places that deserve your attention.
So you can get to know & enjoy this city like a local, or even better - a local on an e-bike!
👌
Please note:
* Tour NOT recommended for children under 15 years of age.
* If we agree on time, walking & tailor-made tours can be arranged instead.
* In case of bad weather ( rain 🌧️ ☔, strong wind 🌬️, etc. ) the tour will be cancelled.
I'll be there with an e-bike and a helmet ;-)
At the foot of Gorica, the hill after which the city was named, there's the oldest Christian place of worship in Podgorica.
The remains of the ancient city of Duklja ( Doclea ), just four kilometers from the center of Podgorica.
A local beach on the Zeta river - where Docleans used to go for a swim and you can do the same. 🙂 A perfect place for a little break before we continue towards the downtown.
On our way back to the town we go parallel to the river ...
Old Town - a core of the old Podgorica in the period of Ottoman Empire.
Once upon a time a King's residence - nowadays a Contemporary art gallery.
Downtown - a place & time to say Thank you & Goodbye!
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
