Hello stranger! We're Ana, Daniel, Ed, Paco and Valeria here to take you on a journey through Helsinki! We're passionate about Helsinki's culture, history and architecture, we love showing people around and showing off the essential sights as well as the quirks of our new hometown. We're the ones with the pink umbrellas, see you in the square!
Join us for a walking tour into the heart of Helsinki's Katajanokka.
During this tour, we will visit historical landmarks starting in Senate Square, then continuing towards Market Square, Uspenski Cathedral, Tove Jansson and The Moomins, the Ice Breaker ships, Art Nouveau, and some fun anecdotes and stories, some beautiful views, and recommendations.
The tour covers the story of how Helsinki was transformed under the Russian Tsars from a small fishing village into the capital of Finland. We will explore how Katajanokka went from being the playground of sailors and crooks to the playground of the bourgeoisie.
This tour is a great complement to our free tour, check our profile for more :)
The guide will be carrying a pink umbrella and a name badge.
