Since 2022 I started 'Collected Stories', my own very little cute conceptstore in the historic centre of Gouda. It is located in one of the smallest Canal houses of Gouda! In my conceptstore I combine two things. I sell handmade gifts (locally made) and I walk with people through the lovely old city centre. If you like to start with a drink and bite (view on the Gouwe river) and walk with a local through the beautiful town of Gouda? Then come to Collected Stories!
What does Collected Stories offer?
A walking tour with a drink and a bite. You will see the Highlights (see the monuments below), small alleys, old houses and canals.

What makes Collected Stories, the starting point of the tour, so special?
The beginning of the tour is located in one of the smallest and oldest canal houses from Gouda! Since 1366 it is registered in the books. Because it is so small (just 2.55 in width) the conceptstore is really tiny and got a cozy atmosphere.
The Highlights
The monument were we have are first stop are the Visbanken. It was a place for fish trading (Haring and Salmon).
We will see and pass by the Gouwekerk, named after the river the Gouwe.
The medieval city hall of Gouda is one of the most beautiful in Holland! We spend time here on the marketplace and tell you the history of this amazing building. We walk around the marketplace (Thursday and Saturday are still market days).
Gouda is world famous because of its cheese. The beautiful Weighing house is build just for weighing all the cheese! We stop in front of the Weighing house and there is time to photograph it and I will tell some fun facts about Gouda cheese and the Weighing House. If the Weighing house is open: we can go inside!
We passing the Turfmarkt with its unique houses and I will tell something about the history of this 'sinking' Canal.
We will off course stop at Museum Gouda! I will tell you about the history of the museum. It is so nice to see the small canals and the old area we will stroll around.

The meeting point is: Collected Stories, Lage Gouwe 62,2801LH Gouda. The canalhouse is white,small and has Collected Stories on the front door and window. It is located near the visbanken. Around 50 meters from the vissteeg.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
