Been in the tourism and hospitality industry for 8 years now and realized that I simply love being around people, showing them around and eating!! I’ve lived in Bordeaux for several years now and spent a lot of my time learning the city’s history and food scene. Now I want to work for myself while doing what I love.
Embark on a an exciting journey through the heart of Bordeaux's historic center. In 2-2.5 hours we will get to explore and pass through the charming cobblestone streets, admiring some of the iconic landmarks and unraveling its fascinating tales.
As we wander, you'll be treated to more than just the history, sights and stories! Prepare your taste buds for the flavors of Bordeaux. Explore the city's sweet culinary delights by treating yourself to some of France's sweet local desserts and delicacies.
Over the course of this tour, we will be visiting:
- Saint André Cathedral (Also where our tour will start)
- Port Dijeaux
- Place de la Comedie
- Rue Sainte Catherine
- Grosse Cloche
As this is also a food tour, we will of course stop by the different food establishments for you to try:
- The iconic canelé
- The Dune Blanche
- Elegant cakes
- Freshly baked breads
- Gourmet Chocolates
- Ice cream

Note:
- There is no set price for this free walking food tour. Participants are free to decide what they wish to give at the end of the tour (The usual range is from €20-€50 depending on how you liked the tour)
- Food samples not included in this tour
- Suggested amount to bring for samples is €15-€20 depending on your appetite! This tour is vegetarian friendly. Due to the nature of France's culinary traditions, we do not recommend this tour for vegans.
- The tour starts at The Place Pey Berland and ends at The Grosse Cloche or Place Fernand Lafargue
We will be waiting right infront statue of Chaban Delmas in the Pey Berland Square. We will be carrying a tote bag with croissants and wine glasses printed on it.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
