    Old City (Casablanca)

The **Old Medina of Casablanca** is a vibrant and historic area that offers a glimpse into the city's past before French colonial rule. It's known for its bustling souks where you can find a variety of goods, from souvenirs to local food. The Medina is also notable for its architecture, which includes remnants of ancient walls and a mix of Moroccan and French influences from the time when French colonists built the district in the 1930s. Sacred Heart Cathedral

The **Church of the Sacred Heart** in Casablanca, also known as **Casablanca Cathedral**, is a former Roman Catholic church that has been transformed into a cultural center. Designed by French architect Paul Tournon in the Art Deco style, it was constructed in 1930 and ceased its religious function in 1956, after Morocco's independence. Although commonly referred to as a cathedral, it was never technically one as it was never the seat of a bishop. Today, it stands as an architectural landmark.
