My name is Enzo and I am a medical student at the University of Toronto. One of my closest friends and I love walking different corners of Toronto trying new foods. I’ve learned a lot about the different cuisines that Toronto has to offer, and the idea of turning it into a tour has been on the back of my mind for years. I’m excited to have finally followed through and put together this experience for you to enjoy :)
This tour is all about sharing with you my favorite foods spots from different countries. I will show you how in Toronto, you only need to cross streets to travel across different cultures. Each of the places we will visit serve, in my opinion, the best variety of the particular dish we will be eating. Having traveled to most of the countries where these foods are from, I can personally guarantee you will be tasting authentic flavors.
This tour IS for:
- People who love trying new things
- Lovers of good food
- Tourists looking to experience Toronto’s diversity through their tastebuds
This tour is NOT suitable for:
- Picky eaters
- People with other dietary restrictions
You will have the option of buying your own food (not recommended), or putting $25 CAD (per person) into a pool that I will use to split food amongst the group. If you buy your own food, it will cost you close to $100 CAD and you may be too full to try everything on our itinerary. By contributing to the pool, everyone can try a little bit of everything by sharing portions.
Please note that the $25 is based on a minimum of 4 people attending. If not enough people sign up or if some poeple don't show up, I will give you as much notice as I can, and give you the option of letting me customize the tour to your budget.
Please keep in mind that the $25 would just be to cover the cost of your food. Any tip you choose to give me at the end is separate and up to you to decide how much you'd like to give 😊
Just outside the east entrance of Dragon City Mall (the entrance facing Spadina Avenue). I will be wearing a bright neon green hat.
This is where we will start and end our tour. From here, we will go around to 5-8 different restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. Specific resturants are not listed because I might have to make slight last-minute changes to which restaurants we go to and don't want to make any promises of where we will eat. The only promise I can make is that they will all be yummy :)
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
