The Metropolitan Museum of Art : Collection Highlights

Join us for this introduction into the METs vast art collection where we will do a survey of art history from Egyptian Sphinx’s, Ancient Greece and Rome, Medieval Knights, Italian Renaissance, sculpture, French Impressionism, Surrealism, contemporary art and more!
With a focus on western art we will be looking at about 40 works while traveling the globe and thousands of years looking at some of the best treasures in this 22 million square foot museum. Our tour, lead by a practicing artist, will take about 2 and a half hours with a break in between.
You will see the highlights of the MET without getting lost and learn history about the museum and tips for navigation. You will have time after our tour to go back and explore the museum on your own.
The tour does not include museum admission. The MET honors several travel passes and offers discounts to students, seniors and people with disabilities.
